Maine's Martin's Point Selects TriZetto's QNXT System to Accommodate Growth While Sustaining Highest Levels of Member Satisfaction

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. - July 22, 2010 - The TriZetto Group, Inc. today announced that Martin’s Point Health Care, a physician-led not-for-profit health plan in Portland, Maine, has licensed TriZetto’s QNXT™ enterprise administration system to help improve its administrative efficiency and support growth while sustaining its high levels of member and provider satisfaction. Martin’s Point also is implementing TriZetto’s Medicare modules and web-based Provider and Member Service applications.

Martin’s Point anticipates going live on TriZetto’s applications in September.

“We’re targeting a 10- to 15-percent higher first-pass auto-adjudication rate, and TriZetto’s QNXT system will help get us there,” explained Greg McCarthy, vice president of information systems and health plan operations at Martin’s Point. “We know, too, that a TriZetto platform can scale to our plans to significantly grow membership in our health plan offerings.”

Reputation was another important consideration for Martin’s Point in selecting TriZetto’s patented QNXT product over competing platforms, according to McCarthy.

“Our Martin’s Point US Family Health Plan scored tops among 242 plans nationally in overall member satisfaction, and Martin’s Point Health Care Centers in Maine were awarded the highest rating for commitment to providing quality care to patients,” he said.* “We take customer satisfaction seriously, and TriZetto’s QNXT system, Medicare modules and service portals give us the confidence that we can grow without compromising the satisfaction of our valued members and providers.”

McCarthy added that TriZetto’s QNXT application also will provide more flexible provider payment functionality and integrate well with other Martin’s Point information systems.

The rapidly growing Martin’s Point Medicare plan, Generations Advantage®, currently provides coverage for about 6,000 people across Maine. The Martin’s Point US Family Health Plan, a TRICARE plan, serves some 31,000 military retirees, dependents and families of active-duty personnel in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York and Pennsylvania. Additionally, Martin’s Point administers a commercial employer group product called Point Partners.

“TriZetto’s QNXT platform has always been a primary choice among growth-oriented plans,” said Rob Scavo, president of the TriZetto unit that serves local and community health plans. “Now, it has quickly become an important tool for helping plans meet the new requirements of ICD-10 and healthcare insurance reform.

TriZetto’s Medicare modules will help ensure compliance with CMS regulations, proper reconciliation of data and correct reimbursement for Martin’s Point’s Medicare Advantage program. The licensed modules include:

  • Financial Reconciliation Manager
  • Risk Score Manager
  • Enrollment Administration Manager
  • Claims Data Manager
  • HCC Risk Adjustment Manager
