Regence Extends Hosting Agreement With TriZetto Through 2016

Strategic Partnership Supports Company's Evolving Service and Technology Goals

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - April 1, 2010 - The TriZetto Group, Inc. today announced that Regence has extended its hosting contract with the healthcare IT firm through 2016. Under the contract, TriZetto will continue to provide application management and hosting services for next-generation core systems. The systems include TriZetto's FacetsTM enterprise administration platform, Clinical CareAdvance® health management system, NetworX Suite® provider pricing and modeling applications, and Constituent Web Solutions. Regence is the largest health insurer in the Northwest/Intermountain region.

"This extended agreement is part of a strategic partnership that will help Regence meet our goal of improving service to members, employers and providers," said Cheron Vail, chief information officer for Regence. "Moreover, TriZetto is providing substantive assistance in our implementation of 5010 and ICD-10. Their day-to-day hosting services free us to deploy our own IT resources to accommodate new products and provide the flexibility we need to help meet state and federal requirements, including those that may result from healthcare reform."

Regence's relationship with TriZetto encompasses more than simply application management and hosting services; it means personal one-on-one communication to resolve questions, problems or concerns. TriZetto also provides a suite of services that include several TriZetto-hosted systems that automate and streamline Regence's enrollment, premium billing, claims adjudication, customer service, health management, claims pricing and provider contract modeling.

"Our agreement with Regence is yet another example of a customer seeing significant benefits from our hosting services and then extending the contract," noted Mike Jenner, executive vice president of TriZetto Services. "These customers range from large national payers and Blues plans to local and regional payers. While there are business requirements unique to each, our payer customers all benefit from attentive, flexible and cost-effective hosting from TriZetto that allows them to focus on their core competencies of health insurance services, member health management and strong service to their many constituents."

"Regence's contract extension is further validation of our role as a journey partner to independent Blues organizations across the country," noted Tim Hascall, president of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield market for TriZetto. "We're proud to serve nearly two-thirds of all Blues with software and IT services that help improve administrative efficiency and support membership growth."
